Agricultural Education is a 4-year program for students that teaches the science and technology to manage and use resources to provide food for a growing population. Through theses courses, agricultural educators teach students a wide variety of skills, including science, math, communications, leadership, management and technology. Student also have the opportunity to learn leadership and personal development through membership in Future Farmers of America (FFA).
Agricultural education is delivered through three interconnected components:

Classroom or laboratory instruction.
- Experiential learning--learning experiences that usually take place outside of the classroom, supervised by the agricultural instructor.
- Leadership education--delivered through student organizations such as the National FFA Organization.
