Automotive Technology is a 2-year program offering instruction in auto shop safety, tools and equipment, engine fundamentals, engine reconditioning, engine performance, chassis, front end, brake systems, Fuel Systems I and II, engine tune-up, electrical systems, repair orders, and cost estimates. This is a National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) certified program and is currently under review for Council On Occupational Education (COE) accreditation. East Central College offers dual credit for Automotive Technology students.

First year students will cover basic automotive theory and systems. Second year students will get further training in diagnostics and repairs.
