Rolla Technical Institute & Center

Students and Advisors at Rolla Technical Institute and Center held their first National Beta Club Chapter induction last Thursday evening. Chapter President Lucy Conger called the meeting to order and the executive officers Clara Harden, Eleanor Huhn, Raiden Jones, and Isabel Morris assisted with the ceremony along with Chapter Advisors Carmel Dare, Cord Jenkins, Dana Jenkins, Stacy Blakely, Meghan Bilbrough, Dr. Karen Lambeth, and Sarah Edwards. Advisors unable to attend were Dr. Stephanie Broyles, Seth Henson, and Ruth Diaz.

Dr. Kyle Dare, R31 Superintendent and National Beta Club board member spoke at the ceremony, emphasizing the importance of the four pillars of the organization; achievement, character, leadership, and service, as students look toward the future. 

Carmel Dare, Beta Club Sponsor addressed the inductees, “I hope you feel pride in becoming members of this prestigious organization. You truly are the leaders in your school and community and are joining the ranks of over 500,000 active Beta members residing within approximately 14,000 clubs nationally and internationally.” 

National Beta Club is the largest independent, non-profit, educational youth organization in America. For more than 80 years, Beta has prepared today’s students to be tomorrow’s leaders. The mission of the organization is to promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service, and leadership among elementary and secondary school students.
