Construction Trades is a 2-year program that is designed to qualify students for entry-level employment in the building trades field. Some classroom work is required, but the primary learning experience is through hands-on work at the job site in all kinds of weather. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will receive a certificate of completion and an OSHA 10 card and may work in the following building trades: foundation work, concrete work, residential and commercial framing, roofing, drywall work, flooring and finish carpentry.
Graduates of the program can gain credit with the St. Louis Carpenters Union as well as dual credit with East Central College.
