Information Technology is a 2-year program designed to provide students with instruction and hands-on experience with various hardware, software, operating systems, and cybersecurity techniques used in Information Technology.

Coursework goes beyond simple computer repair and into topics such as customer service, cybersecurity, operating systems, system administration, database, and networking concepts.  The coursework and labs include a variety of Microsoft, Linux, and Mac operating system administration and troubleshooting to provide students with the experience employers demand.  Students will receive instruction for industry-recognized certifications, such as the CompTIA A+ (Windows hardware and operating systems), Linux+ (Linux operating systems), and Security+ (CyberSecurity) certifications utilizing computer-simulated labs, hands-on labs, and virtual machines.

    I am a United States Navy Veteran and served as an Electrician's Mate for 9 years.  As a civilian, I've worked in electronic security, access control, and network operations, but I've worked specifically in Information Technology since 2009.  Since then, I've worked as an End User Support Specialist, IT Specialist, and IT Helpdesk manager where I've earned multiple CompTIA and Microsoft certifications.
