Intro to Service Careers

Intro to Service Careers

Eligible Students: 11, 12

This program helps prepare your special needs student for the world of work. We work on soft skills in the classroom such as, communication, self-image, respect, punctuality and attendance (just to name a few). Our students also get the hands on experience by working in our lab that serves food to the entire building at break time.

In the lab the students learn teamwork. How to work together to get their product complete and presentable for their customers. They also learn how to rotate product, clean as they go, follow specific directions and even be flexible to their surroundings.

This program will better prepare your student for the work world in the food industry. Customer service, manners, doing a budget and even filling out a job application will help them get prepared for the world of work!

Qualifying seniors are eligible for Internships!
