Welcome to Fire and Rescue Technology!

The Fire and Rescue Technology program prepares secondary students for careers in firefighting, hazardous materials, and EMS. Students successfully completing the program will be eligible to take the Missouri Division of Fire Safety Hazardous Materials Awareness, Hazardous Materials Operations, Firefighter I, and Firefighter II certification exams. They will also be eligible to take the National Registry Emergency Medical Technician exam. All minimum qualifications must be met.

The fire and rescue program follows the MDFS (Missouri Division of Fire Safety) guidelines and is IFSAC (International Fire Service Accreditation Congress) and Pro Board accredited. Secondary students attend two half day semesters for the fire program. Secondary students may attend the two half day semester daytime high school EMT class offered in odd beginning school years.  

There is dual college credit hours offered through East Central College and Ozark Technical College if all minimum qualifications are met.
